Volunteers support Milton Hospital by giving hundreds of hours of time to enhance the quality of patient care and to provide support services for the professional staff. Over 200 adult and junior volunteers are important members of the Hospital's health care team. They serve wherever there is a need for special warmth, cheer, and understanding.
As volunteers, these generous individuals have the opportunity to give the very best of themselves. The inner satisfaction which comes from helping others and the pride of accomplishment in a job well-done are found by volunteers to be their greatest reward. In addition, volunteers have the opportunity to learn new skills, to develop new interests, to make friends, and grow in personal understanding.
If you can take a few hours each week to support Milton Hospital's efforts with your time, interest, and action, please call the Director of Volunteers at 696-4600, extension 1199. Every effort will be made to match your skills and interest with your work assignment. Days and hours for volunteering will be arranged, to the extent possible, for your convenience. You will receive an orientation to Milton Hospital as well as a department-specific orientation and on-the-job training. Junior volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. All volunteers are entitled to a free meal on the day that they work.
