Auxiliary Raises $31,000
Milton, Mass. - Milton Hospital held its annual Volunteer Luncheon
for more than 100 members of the hospital's auxiliary on May 17.
The auxiliary announced its annual donation to the hospital, this
year contributing more than $31,000. Vice President of Patient Care
Susan Mangini displayed four pieces of new medical equipment that
the hospital purchased using the auxiliary's donation. New equipment
includes an epidural infusion pump, a chair scale, a LifePak 12

raffles, bake sales and other fund-raising efforts throughout the
year.
Auxiliary President Gertrude Williams, along with Kathleen Harrington,
vice president of human resources, presented pins to 27 volunteers
in recognition of long-standing service, including four individuals
with more than 10,000 volunteer hours logged. Ruth Crimp and Ruth
Ford were recognized for 10,000 of service, past-president Norma
Bowman celebrated 14,000 hours, and gift shop volunteer Ellen Shea
topped the list with 26,000 hours.
Hospital President Joseph Morrissey also took the podium to thank
the auxiliary.
"We are indebted to our volunteers for the vital role they
play in the daily operations of Milton Hospital, including transportation,
