Local Artists Support Hospital Fundraiser
Milton, Mass. - Several area artists will have their work auctioned
at Milton Hospital's "Art of Giving" spring fundraiser.
The event, to be held at Lombardo's in Randolph on Thursday, April
28, will feature silent and live auctions of fine art, floral arrangements,
tickets to cultural and sporting events, and more. Local artists
have donated numerous paintings and prints, floral arrangements,
jewelry and more. Some pieces are valued at over $1,000.
"I am truly impressed not only with the generous outpouring of support,
but also with the impressive talents of our local artists," said
Susan Schepici, the hospital's development director. "We are excited
about the beautiful works that have been donated, and we anticipate
that they will generate a great deal of support for the hospital."
In addition to fine art, auction items will include four club seats
to a U2 concert, round-trip, domestic airline tickets, tickets to
a Red Sox-Yankees game, in-home cooking classes and theatre tickets.
To date, more than $20,000 worth of items have been donated.
"We're auctioning a wide variety of items. There's something
for everybody," Schepici said.
Proceeds from the event will help cover the cost of a 16-slice CT
scanner that will provide quicker, clearer and more complex diagnostic
imaging for patients. Tickets are available for $100 each and several
sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available. For more
information, please contact Development Officer James Robinson at
