UPCOMING EVENTS:   •   Milton Hospital Community Health Day: May 31, 2008   •  Spring 2008 Community Education Series Milton Hospital Community Health Day: MOVED TO RAIN DATE OF JUNE 1, 11am-3pm An exciting schedule of events and exhibitors is turning Milton Hospital's June 1 Health Fair into an event you won't want to miss! The event will feature an array of health-focused interactive exhibits, fun demonstrations and events for all ages. Community Health Day takes place in the Highland Parking Lot and Highland Lobby on Milton Hospital's beautiful campus at 199 Reedsdale Road, Milton. An appearance by a Double-Dutch jump rope team headline a day of demonstrations that promote a healthy, active life style. Demonstrations of Zumba and Tai Chi will also take center stage throughout the day. Our "Gallery of Health" will feature exhibitors from Milton Hospital's clinical departments, as well the local community, covering such health issues as heart disease and skin cancer, and providing simple screenings and informative literature. The "Gallery of Health" will also include a display of the "Supercolon," a fascinating, giant-sized model of a human colon, which is sure to capture the attention of everyone in attendance. The event will also feature an interactive exhibit area, to include a tour of a Fallon Ambulance, and demonstrations by the Milton Police Healthy and delicious food, such as lean burgers, veggie burgers and turkey dogs will be provided at affordable prices by Quincy restaurant Eatin' Healthy, and Common Ground restaurant of Dorchester Lower Mills will serve their famous fruit smoothies. An appearance by Milton Hospital's daVinci robot, a raffle of a Child's bike courtesy of Dave's Bike Infirmary, face painting, a DJ, lots of games for the kids and more exciting exhibitors still in the works are sure to make this event a winner!
