BIDMC Affiliation
As president of Milton Hospital for the past eight years, I am excited to usher in a new chapter in our proud history, a history that spans more than 100 years. Together with our new corporate affiliate, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, we look forward to the bringing a new level of community healthcare to our local cities and towns!
The affiliation between Milton and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center has been designed to preserve and enhance the wonderful healthcare services offered at our community hospital. Some of the key elements of this new affiliation include:
- The same doctors, nurses, hospital administrators and staff you have grown to know and trust
- Growth of our medical staff, as Beth Israel Deaconess helps to recruit new primary care physicians and specialists to join our existing staff in caring for patients in our community
- Easier access to the world-class care offered at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, when our patients require more advanced treatment
- The same local Board of Directors, whose mission is to strengthen and expand Milton Hospital’s services, with the addition of new Board members from Beth Israel Deaconess who will share their expertise
- A new name for our hospital: Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton.
We are excited to continue to care for the residents of Milton, and its surrounding communities, and look forward to the many advancements to community healthcare that this affiliation will bring.
